a slice of a July monday-tuesday life
Monday meet no. 1 of 2, UCC Cafe, The Podium, Ortigas, Pasig City
2pm to 445pm, after 3 cups of Americano:
[a] Mango Crepe - [edit:] it's like injecting sugar into your veins. Not my thing.
[b] Toblerone Mousse -- good and very subtle!
After the meet, toured the event's venue for ocular inspection at the Atrium of the mall.
[c] The Atrium, The Podium, Ortigas, Pasig City
Left Ortigas to Quezon City to prepare for meet no. 2 and a quick meal at Flapjack's, UP TechnoHub.
Arrived at Commonwealth Avenue around 630 pm, greeted by the usual early afternoon evening jam.
TechnHub is on the opposite side of Commonwealth, now widened to a ridiculous 8 lanes at its widest on one side alone. The best way to get to the other side is on foot via any of the pedestrian overpasses that are scattered throughout the entire 12.4km (7.7mi) length of the highway.

Tuesday meet nos. 1 & 2, Greens Restaurant, Morato, Quezon City
2pm-33pm, 2 cups brewed coffee and
[e] Vegetables in wheat wrap with fave Papadam.
A brief respite at nearby Starbucks on Morato Street, 515 pm while waiting for colleague at the next table who was interviewing a subject for her next article.
I really prefer other cafes like Casa Xocolat or Figaro unless I really have to meet anyone at Starbucks. In this case, article subject chose the venue. Anyhow, I told myself it will afford me some time to get my thoughts together to recap Monday's 2-meeting notes.
If anyone wants to treat me out to Starbucks, here is my favorite cold mix:
[f] Coffee Jelly with just a dash of cream, please.
I ended up totally blanked out on that humid Tuesday afternoon, with occasional glances at the scene below me. Must have been the first time I actually "people watched", ever.
